Vedic Astrology and Kundali Consultation

Vedic astrology kundali chart being prepared during a consultation at Divyam Vaastu

Available online worldwide by video call, and in person at our Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) and Pune offices.

A Vedic astrology reading at Divyam Vaastu is a one to one Jyotish consultation with Mr. Avinash Maggirwar or Mr. Abhijit Maggirwar, held online by video call or at our Aurangabad and Pune offices. You share your date, time and place of birth, bring your question, and we read your kundali with you in plain language.

A Vedic astrology reading, not a free chart

Free websites will generate a kundali in seconds. What they cannot do is sit with you, listen to the question that brought you here, and read the whole chart in the context of your life. That is what a consultation is for. A Vedic astrologer looks at how the placements work together, weighs the strong and weak points of the chart, and relates them to the decision in front of you, whether that concerns work, marriage, family or a new venture.

If you would like to understand the parts of a birth chart before you book, our guide explains them one by one. This page is about the consultation itself: how it runs, what you provide, and what you can reasonably expect from it.

What a Jyotish consultation involves

Every consultation follows the same five stages, whether it is held online or at one of our offices.

  1. Booking. Message us on WhatsApp or through the contact page with your city, your time zone if you are outside India, and a line about what you would like to discuss. We agree a time by appointment.
  2. Sharing your details. You send your date, time and place of birth before the session, so the chart is prepared in advance rather than in the first minutes of the call.
  3. Preparing the chart. The consultant draws your kundali and studies it with your question in mind, noting anything that depends on the accuracy of your birth time.
  4. The reading. You talk through the chart together. The consultant explains what it shows in plain language, answers your questions and discusses the options open to you. You are welcome to take notes.
  5. Afterwards. If something needs clarifying once you have had time to think, you can message us with a short follow up question.

The details you provide: date, time and place of birth

We need three things: your date of birth, your time of birth as precisely as you can establish it, and your place of birth, meaning the town or city. The time matters most, because a difference of a few minutes can change the rising sign and the house positions that much of the reading rests on.

The most reliable sources are a birth certificate, a hospital record or a horoscope written by the family at the time. If your time is uncertain, tell us what you know and how you know it. We will say which parts of the reading depend on the exact time and which do not, rather than presenting a precision we do not have.

Kundali matching for marriage

Kundali matching is one of the most common reasons families contact us. Both charts are prepared from each person's date, time and place of birth. We look at the traditional Ashtakoota comparison, which produces the familiar score out of 36, and then go well beyond the number to how the two charts actually sit together: temperament, family life and the periods each person is moving through.

A score on its own can mislead in either direction. A high score does not settle a match, and a lower one does not end it. We explain what the comparison shows in plain language so the family can make its own decision with a clear picture. Questions about mangal dosh are covered in the same session; our separate article explains how it is assessed.

Career, business and family questions

Beyond marriage, people bring questions about career direction, a job change, starting or expanding a business, and the sequence of large financial commitments. Family questions are common too: a child's education, harmony at home, or how to approach a difficult stretch. The consultant reads the chart for the tendencies and timing it describes, then talks through how they relate to your situation.

Online consultations across time zones

A large share of our astrology work is online. A Vedic astrology reading is a conversation about a chart, so it works well by video call, and clients in the USA, the UK, the UAE and other Indian cities consult us this way.

We are based in India, which is ahead of most of our overseas clients. When you book, tell us your city and time zone and we will agree a time that suits both sides, often in the morning or evening for clients in the USA and the UK. Your chart is always drawn for the place where you were born, not where you live now, so please give your birthplace even if you moved abroad as a child. You will need a quiet room, a steady connection and a phone, tablet or laptop.

What a reading does and does not do

A reading gives you a structured way to think about a decision, grounded in a tradition that families have relied on for generations. It can help you see the pattern of a period, weigh your options and choose when to act.

It does not predict fixed events, it does not guarantee any outcome, and it is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or psychological advice from a qualified professional. Where a remedy is discussed, it is offered as traditional guidance, not as a promise of a result. Decisions remain yours. We would rather tell you plainly what a chart cannot answer than overstate what it can.

Who reads your chart

Consultations are conducted by Mr. Avinash Maggirwar and Mr. Abhijit Maggirwar, who lead Divyam Vaastu today. The practice was founded in 1992 by Shri Yeshwant Maggirwar Ji and combines Vastu Shastra with Vedic astrology, so a reading can be taken on its own or alongside a Vastu assessment of your home or workplace.

Where consultations are held

In person at our head office in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) and our Pune branch office, and online by video call for clients elsewhere in India and abroad. All consultations are by appointment, and in person availability depends on the consultants being in town.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a Vedic astrology reading work?

You book a time, send your date, time and place of birth, and the consultant prepares your kundali in advance. In the session you talk through the chart together and the consultant answers your questions in plain language.

What details do I need for a kundali reading?

Your date of birth, your birth time as accurately as possible, and your place of birth. For kundali matching we need the same three details for both people.

What if I do not know my exact birth time?

Tell us what you do know. We will explain which parts of the reading depend on the exact time and which do not, rather than pretending to a precision the chart does not have.

Can I consult a Vedic astrologer online from the USA or UK?

Yes. Readings are held by video call, and we agree a time around your time zone when you book. The chart is drawn for your place of birth, wherever you live now.

Do you do kundali matching for marriage?

Yes. Both charts are prepared and compared, including the traditional score out of 36, and we explain what the comparison shows in plain language rather than issuing a pass or fail.

What is the difference between Jyotish and Vedic astrology?

They are the same thing. Jyotish is the Sanskrit name for the Indian system of astrology, and Vedic astrology is the term more often used in English.

Can a reading tell me exactly what will happen?

No. A reading describes tendencies and periods to help you think through a decision. It does not predict fixed events or guarantee any outcome.
